Our client has asked us to find a talented and ambitious Sales and Communications Executive for a role at its Winchester UK headquarters.
Among many other duties in this busy and involving role, you will be responsible for increasing order volumes for our client’s:
- process development & consultancy services and
- training & instrument products.
The company, a subsidiary of a well-known and highly-respected pharmaceutical machine and process development technology distributor, operates in France and French-speaking Belgium selling to countries around the world.
You’ll be working with 30 people at our client’s UK HQ and its lab. Your colleagues will be dealing with other countries and territories and will be happy to help you. However, you will be our client’s sales and communications representative for its French customers here in Britain. Your two French sales team colleagues are based in France and you will be supported by one admin person in the office.
There is a split in responsibilities of 60-70% marketing and communications to 30-40% sales.
You will be responsible for lead generation using the company’s internal databases and for the qualification of leads created through outbound marketing.
You will liaise with in-country Sales Directors following up leads for machinery sales which have been pre-qualified for their level of interest.
Our client holds monthly management meetings in the UK and in France twice a year for which you will be responsible for preparing a monthly management report for other attendees.
Your role will include communicating with customers and acting as a co-ordinator and facilitator between our French customers and the laboratory.
The company benefits greatly from ongoing communication with existing and potential clients via LinkedIn and from active engagement with a variety of digital communication media platforms. A large part of your communications duties will be the successful maintenance of their online communication strategy. Many of our clients communicate with us via these platforms and you’ll be the person answering on our behalf at the other end.
In addition to selling our client’s freeze-drying training services, you’ll write and translate small articles and organise our presence at relevant exhibitions. You’ll negotiate on the company’s behalf to pay the most competitive rates for exhibition attendance fees, training venue hire, and appearances (both advertising and advertorial) in industry magazines and on industry websites. In addition, you will prepare all necessary marketing materials required for exhibitions, events, and conferences, including translation when necessary.
Across the territories in which our client operates, you will customise all marketing communications through close co-operation with in-country staff and within the company’s Winchester-based marketing function. You’ll keep the company’s CRM system and records up to date which you’ll use, in conjunction with third-part lists, to plan email marketing campaigns.
As co-ordinator between our French customers and the Winchester laboratory, you’ll organise and attend conference calls, send quotes produced by the lab to clients, and handle enquiries from clients that require liaison with lab staff.
Our client is looking for preferably a French national with at least 2-years sales experience and marketing/social media knowledge in order to generate new lead via social media.
Based at our client’s UK HQ in Winchester, this is a full-time permanent role paying up to £28,000 a year basic salary depending on experience. You will also receive a bonus payable when the company hits its sales and performance targets.
After you have successfully passed your 6-month probation period, you will also benefit from health insurance, pension contributions, and death-in-service insurance.
